A wildly talented and eclectic group of artists are assembling to present diverse and thought-provoking perspectives on desire. The show will explore the many realms and depths of Desire, such as sacred desire, the sensual, the philosophical, psychological, and emotional realms. We are descending upon a swanky scarlet suite in the Chelsea Hotel and transforming it into a luscious jungle of decadent art. We are infiltrating every crevice in the space with an explosion of art, and even the bathtub will host an installation. Our muses and motivations, as well as our backgrounds and explorations span taxidermy, sculpture, fashion, film, architecture, photography, installation, performance art, and graphic design. Expect to be moved, dazzled, inspired, and awestruck by what we present to you at this show.

Desideria Adame, Mixed-Media Artist
Desideria adame is an artist that arose from the darkness. Her work primarily focuses on the cycles of longing and loss of life and love. She uses a melange of materials such as found objects, talismans, heirlooms, organic matter, rocks, plants, human/animal remains along with polymers and resin in her sculptures. In this group exhibition she is exploring the various stages of mourning and the rebuilding of life after loss. As a scientist collects specimen's to study the infinite stages of life, Desideria adame builds specimen's to depict the myriad of loss. Nick Courage, Visual Artist
Nick Courage is a New Orleans born writer, painter, lo-fi rocker, and escaped academic living in Brooklyn, NY. He is the
author of the way underground lit-hits My Life as an Aerophyte (novella), Mr. Feathers Flies Again (poetry), and Triangulating Happiness (poetry). In his review (Exquisite Corpse, “Recommended Books”) of the latter, Andrei Codrescu described Courage as exhibiting “a fresh sort of daring in the overstrained broth of contemp american poetry.” Courage paints mostly rockabilly monster portraits in a style largely influenced by being 15 once and rocking out to Operation Ivy.

Seth Embry
, Architect and Designer
Seth Embry lives in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, as the result of a delayed expatriation to Berlin. Having trained as an architect and masochistic submissive at the University of Florida long enough to receive a Bachelor of Design in Architecture, he wanted nothing more than to return to the continent of his itinerant youth, but was diverted by the allure and sheer quantity of drunken nubiles in this city-within-two-others. Seth considers himself an architectural artist, practicing retail architecture by day in order to support his licentious habits and incontinent lifestyle. His nocturnal endeavors, however, examine the fictions that we create, and their generative potential in establishing the fantastical as real when given visual and spatial form. Of particular importance to his work are stories, myths, dreams, and speculative and science fiction genres. His friends and lovers consider him a verbal pornographer and an abusive dilettante, who will have an average life until he passes away in obscurity. He is confident, however, that the Synchronicity will provide him with an immortal lifespan in which he will give them remembrance by using their gilded skulls as chalices with which to whet the thirst that can never be quenched.

Luke Harms
, Sculptor
Luke Harms has been sculpting as a hobby for almost twenty years. Specializing in small fantasy creatures both alluring
and alien, he uses plasticine modeling compound and occasionally a few dabs of paint. Luke draws his inspiration from the mythic visions beamed into his head by our other-world overlords. It is yet to be determined if these images are truly gifts of a benevolent spirit, or the larks of a capricious psychic prankster.

intersecting with desire and plummeting into stratospheres of bright noise and dark philosophy. Ted has undertaken
projects as diverse as installation art, musical instrument design and performance-art opera while investigating
situationism, time, and the origins of the urbis, while always returning fundamentally to the poem and poesis: the
making of a thing. He is a masters student completing his thesis at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program.
His work has been performed and exhibited at The Arts Center in St. Petersburg, FL, ISSUE Project Room,
Brooklyn's Monkeytown, Le Poisson Rouge, the New York Center for Art & Media Studies, and more.

Nate Hill,
Performance Artist and Sculptor
Nate Hill lives and works in New York City.
In the first phase of his work as an artist, he set out with a needle and thread to sew together an invented animal kingdom. As God as his idol, Nate imitated the Creator while imagining that the current animals on Earth were only blank slates or raw materials bestowed to us from God with the intent that we as humans would re-imagine them. From there forward, Nate cut these animals into pieces and sewed them back together in a way that he saw fit. In this way, he became God. Trying to create as the Creator did was an interesting creative exercise. These "New Animals" were made from 2002-2007 and culminated in the "A.D.A.M. Project" (A Dead Animal Man) which was a life size human being sewn together from 13 species of animals including fish, shark, rabbit, and dog and scavenged from roadkill and Chinatown garbage.

Today, Nate works in performance art that sometimes personally comes to your home when requested through a text message. For example, he created the character Death Bear who appears dressed in a large, scary, black bear mascot head and hauls away objects from your house that are causing you pain and takes them back to his cave where they disappear forever allowing you to move on with your life.

examination upon the both object and creator. Sara draws upon a varied occupational history and the education she
received in Architecture at the University of Florida, as well as punk music and comics, in order to infuse her work and
creative process with equal measures of wryness and gravity.

Katherine Plante, Painter
"Born on the shores of Maine with formative years spent exploring the sylvan landscape of New England, Katherine's life and work is a canvas of human inquiry. Using visual canvas as a tool to explore the nature of contrast between subject and spirit, Ms Plant engages the circumstance of here and now, a condition we all share, to examine and further understand what it means to be alive. Her work channels the energies of mystery and intrigue, with the backdrop of all past human experience setting the stage, her work urges the viewer to reconsider questions both ancient and timeless. Elizabeth Raab,
Photographer
Elizabeth Raab (b. 1981) is a photographic artist specializing in automotive and creative portraiture imagery. Her images often contain a visually strong emotional sensuality that crosses the boundary between her subjects and objects. Uniquely vivid color palettes and a detached sense of forlorn beauty and intrigued silence permeate most of Elizabeth’s scenes, as realism and objectivity are commonly set aside. Elizabeth’s career in the arts started with her move from Port Townsend Washington to Rome, Italy in 1999 where she lived for two years working in creative portraiture before returning to her native North West in 2001. Her work has been featured in exhibitions and many areas of publication in the US and Italy. Features include a range from the Seattle Art Museum, to published works of David Lynch, to Joseph Kosuth’s “Perloined.” She has recently been most noted for her work inspired by Ducati motorcycles and now resides in Brooklyn, New York with her husband and their two children.

Laura Sheedy, Mixed-Media and Installation Artist
Laura Sheedy is a mixed-media artist and designer living and working in Brooklyn, New York.
She works within a plethora of mediums and disciplines such as: costume design, set and prop design, installation and wearable art, sculpture, and performance art. She received her Bachelor of Design in Architecture in 2004, and is returning to school to obtain a Masters in Art Therapy in Fall 2010. Laura feels art can be a tremendous catalyst for emotional and spiritual awakening and thus healing. The creative process can facilitate the expression and purging of feelings and emotions that would otherwise be too difficult and complex to put into words. Laura is fascinated with the powerful catharsis that can occur in one's life if art making is used as a practice, similar to how one uses yoga or meditation as a practice. She
has been exploring this process for herself and looks forward to sharing this with others as an Art Therapist and an
artist.
